Memorial Drive
Baptist Church is pleased to
welcome our new Pastor, Jim
Doremus and his wife Janet. Jim
left a 10-year tenure with
First Baptist Church, Jackson,
Mississippi, to begin the next
journey that God has for him at
Memorial Drive Baptist Church.
Jim Doremus
preached in view of a call on
January 18, 2004 where he was
unanimously voted in by the
congregation.
If you don't
know anything about Jim, let me
give you a little insight. Jim
is a man after God's own heart. He truly has a gift in
preaching. He is an idea guy
and will follow what ever God
has in mind to lead people to
Christ. He lead a very
powerful prayer ministry in
Jackson. Jim believes that
prayer should be the first step
and not a last resort. Our
Church has seen God at work over
the last 18 months and we can
surely say that the best things
come to those who wait and seek
his guidance.
Jim has 2 sons, a
daughter-in-law and a dog, although besides Janet the dog
will be the only one he is
bringing with him to Houston.
Houston will
be a new beginning for Jim and
Jim will be new beginning for
Memorial Drive Baptist Church;
with God's guidance we will
reach people for Christ. |
